Proposal development
EGS supports the formation of research partnerships and funding of research projects, particularly within the international setting.
The proposal development service involves a "hands-on" approach. EGS is able to take on the majority of work involved in partner search, project planning, proposal writing and submission.
Researchers involved in the project are left free to concentrate on the scientific aspects of the proposal. With a scientific background, EGS staff can also contribute to the development of objectives and methodology. In addition, professional proposal writers can often provide a useful perspective for identifying potential impacts of the research, and formulation of dissemination and exploitation strategies.
Typically, a meeting will be organised to discuss the project 1-2 months prior to submission of the proposal. If this is not possible, webconferencing and workspace tools are available to facilitate sharing of ideas and development of the project.
Advice is provided on all financial and legal aspects of participation in a research project. EGS assists in determining a suitable budget for each project and assists with contract negotiation and preparation of consortium agreements, should a project proposal be approved.
EGS has a unique fee structure for proposal development services designed to be affordable for academic institutions and SMEs. For more information, please contact us.
